Stealth RC

Stealth RC is a compact, fully integrated, advanced radio control with an integrated sound system. It's designed for droid builders to replace a conventional Radio Control (RC) setup. However, it can be used in conjunction with a conventional RC radio if desired.

Necessary but not included in the based package:

+5V Power Supply - Sure Robotics DC Converter recommended.

Necessary but not offered/included:

Speakers, Amplifier & Ground Loop Isolator and associated cables, servo extension cables, and AC USB adapter or other USB power source to charge remotes.

Caveats:

Configuration is set through onboard jumpers and the USB Thumb drive (FAT32, PC/Mac required.)
Your speed controllers must offer mixed channel mode (tank mode.)
Supported speed controller manufacturers: Dimension Engineering, RoboteQ or Vantec.
Dimension Engineering Sabertooth/Syren Controllers must be using a firmware release that supports DESribe.
Cases are 3D Printed on a high-resolution industrial printer in Nylon and dyed Black.
You must have a good 5V power supply. DC Converter recommended. A 7805 or LM2596 based DC Converter/PDB will probably not suffice.
In field firmware upgrades requires an ISP Programmer, e.g. ATMEL AVRISP mkII or USB-TTL Serial Adapter, e.g. FTDI (neither are included.)
Access to the monitor/config console requires a +5V serial TTL adapter/cable, e.g. FTDI (not included.)
Included USB Thumb Drive may vary in color and physical size.

XBEE Radios:

900MHz radios offer more range and work in a less congested spectrum. 2.4GHz shares the same frequency spectrum as many other devices like WiFi, Bluetooth etc.
2.4GHz radios draw less power and as a result, the batteries will last longer, 6-7hrs vs 4-5hrs.
From summer 2024, we're using the latest XBEE3 2.4GHz radios that have a built in PCB antenna. According to DIGI expect similar performance as the short whip antenna.
Both radios work equally well in aluminum robots.
900MHz radio option only available in North America.

Bundle 2 adds a DC Converter to the standard Stealth RC setup. Ideal if you're just starting out and plan on adding additional servos down the road.

Bundle 3 adds one Servo Expander Module plus a DC Converter. Great if you plan on using your existing RC setup and plan some droid automation and scripting with the Expander Module.

Bundle 4 same as Bundle 3 but adds a PPM/PWM Converter with cables

Bundle 5 is ideal if you plan on installing a lot of servos in your robot or droid. Included is a pair of DC Converters and Servo Expander Modules (a set for the body and dome), each of which can drive up to 12 digital devices. This is on top of the 12 servos and 10 digital devices you can drive directly from the Stealth Controller Receiver.

Bundle 6 same as Bundle 5 but adds a PPM/PWM Converter with cables

Batteries: Some countries do not allow LiPO batteries to be imported. Use this option to remove batteries from your order.

Alumide Case Upgrade: Feels like cast aluminum and adds a bit of weight which some people prefer. Alumide offers great flexibility and durability. Made from a mix of polyamide powder and fine aluminum particles. Rough surface and may become dirtier quicker than standard Nylon case but easily washed.

Added DC Converters: If you want any special options on the additional DC converters, e.g. 6V output. Please email separately to confirm any special configuration.

USB Output on DC Converter: Use this option if you wish to add a USB power port to the DC Converter(s) if they're in your bundle add-on.
